Job summary

EDENS is seeking a Senior Regional Counsel to serve as the primary legal partner for regional portfolios. You will structure, negotiate, draft, and close sophisticated retail real estate transactions, including grocery anchors, ground leases, amendments, and exclusivity matters.

You will advise business leaders across Investment Management, Leasing, Finance and Property Management, provide risk-calibrated guidance on major transactions, and lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and outside

Qualifications

• Must have JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (CA, TX, FL, DC preferred).
• 8–10+ years of progressive legal experience with substantial retail leasing experience.
• Experience leading complex retail leasing and multi-party real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional legal support for regional portfolios with timely, practical guidance.
• Structure, negotiate, draft, and close sophisticated retail real estate matters including leases, ground leases, and related agreements.
• Advise Investment Management, Leasing, Tenant Construction, and other functions on deal economics, tenant credit, and delivery obligations.
• Provide risk-calibrated advice on major transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio strategy.
• Direct and coordinate department attorneys, paralegals, and outside counsel; manage costs and outside counsel performance.
