Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Vice-President of Technical Operations to oversee pre-analytical and analytical lab operations, ensuring timely, accurate test results and lab information for healthcare providers. Leads laboratory staff and collaborates with medical, scientific, quality, and compliance leaders to set strategic goals.

The role requires strong budgeting, vendor relations, and regulatory expertise (CLIA, CAP). Travel may be involved.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, or a related health science.
• 10-15 years of laboratory management experience.
• Reference Laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong analytical business skills focusing on HR, budgets and capital expenditure.
• Strategic planning with medical leadership, vendors and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Direct recruitment, training, performance and retention of laboratory staff.
• Lead managers and staff to achieve laboratory goals.
• Evaluate performance and develop leadership succession plans.
• Engage with leadership to sustain services and develop strategic plan.
• Develop and manage budget including Opex and Capex.
• Coordinate specimen logistics and results flow with provider systems.
• Ensure adherence to CLIA, CAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Establish and monitor lab performance metrics for quality and service.
• Maintain a safe and effective laboratory production environment.
• Develop analytic methods with Medical Leadership to meet clinical requirements.
• Uphold company vision and values.
