Job summary

Liberty Mutual Investments in Boston seeks a Vice President to serve as the authority on how investments behave inside an insurance balance sheet. You will partner with Portfolio Managers, regulatory, accounting, and legal teams to craft the business case for management actions and new opportunities.

This role requires deep expertise in SAP/SSAP, NAIC reporting, and asset allocation, plus leadership and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics; advanced degree, CPA, or CFA a plus.
• 10–15 years experience in insurance investments and related fields.
• Deep expertise in SAP/SSAP, NAIC reporting and RBC frameworks; rating agency capital models preferred.
• Fluency across NAIC/RBC, Solvency II, and other regimes with implications for investment strategy.
• Strong understanding of asset allocation and general account portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as GSCA SME on statutory accounting (SAP/SSAP) and NAIC reporting and RBC treatment.
• Collaborate with regulatory and accounting teams to design portfolio actions and opportunities.
• Monitor regulatory, accounting, and industry trends; translate into actionable recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Investment, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Financial Reporting.
• Direct AI-driven tools to scale insight generation and scenario analysis.
