Position Summary

The Vice President, Information Technology (VP, IT) is a senior leadership role accountable for the strategy, security, and day‑to‑day execution of Viventium’s global corporate IT and information security functions. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the VP, IT leads the design, delivery, and operation of technology and security solutions that support the organization’s goals across its U.S., Costa Rica, United Kingdom, Canada, and India operations, and is responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and IT infrastructure.

This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on operational delivery. The VP, IT owns enterprise IT service delivery, cybersecurity operations, regulatory and audit compliance (e.g., SOC 1 / SOC 2), vendor and license management, and the technology integration of acquired businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develops and executes long- and short-term strategic and operational plans for corporate IT and security that align with company priorities, business needs, service and operational excellence, resource planning, and growth at scale.
• Manages and oversees the comprehensive enterprise information security (InfoSec) program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s platforms, data, applications, networks, systems, servers, and endpoints in an operationally efficient and effective manner.
• Leads security operations, monitoring, and incident response in partnership with the company’s managed SOC/EDR provider; performs risk analysis for existing and potential partners and providers.
• Owns regulatory and audit compliance, including SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 evidence, the risk register, internal controls matrix, and coordination with external auditors and cyber‑insurance carriers.
• Directs enterprise IT service delivery, endpoint management, identity and access management, and end‑user enablement across a distributed, multi‑country workforce.
• Leads the technology and security integration of acquired businesses, including identity, email, SSO, security‑baseline alignment, backup/DR readiness, and vendor consolidation.
• Establishes and enforces a Microsoft‑first enterprise tooling strategy and AI governance framework (e.g., Microsoft 365, Purview, Copilot, Azure AI Foundry) with clear governance guardrails for approved AI tools.
• Oversees management of third‑party vendors in collaboration with Finance — including software, IT hardware, desktop services, telephony, managed services, data center, and network services — and enforces IT procurement and spend‑governance policy.
• Develops, submits, and manages the operational and capital budget requirements for technology solutions; submits regular progress reports on timeliness, performance, quality, and cost.
• Oversees and governs Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning for all IT assets and systems.
• Institutes and enforces security policy, frameworks, and procedures; balances information assurance with productivity; ensures regulatory compliance; and educates staff on the ethical and secure use of company resources.
• Attracts, develops, mentors, and retains top technology and security talent; builds a resilient team structure that minimizes single points of failure.
• Supports a culture of client service, continual improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration within IT and throughout the company; serves as a role model of integrity and results‑oriented focus.

Qualifications

• Technology leadership background including experience serving as CIO, VP of IT, or Head of IT, with a proven track record of leading people and managing departmental operations and finances. Expertise implementing InfoSec policies and solutions is of critical importance.
• Proven experience leading enterprise IT and security in a regulated, multi‑entity, and/or multi‑country environment; experience with SaaS, HCM, payroll, or healthcare‑adjacent businesses preferred.
• Demonstrated experience owning SOC 1 / SOC 2 (or comparable) audit and compliance programs.
• Proven experience leading digital enterprise transformation and implementing modern technologies such as cloud, identity, data/analytics, and AI to enable productivity and growth at scale.
• Experience leading post‑acquisition technology integration (identity, email, SSO, security baseline, vendor consolidation).
• Strong project management, vendor management, and budget‑management skills.
• Excellent business acumen combined with creative problem‑solving and analytical skills; a strategic thinker able to see beyond what is and imagine what should be.
• Strong negotiator and communicator, able to build credibility with senior business leaders and drive change through influence and persuasion.
• High degree of entrepreneurial spirit and initiative; willing to “roll up sleeves” and operate hands‑on.
• Ability to attract, develop, mentor, and retain top technology talent; sophisticated approach to multi‑stakeholder relationship management.
• Occasional travel to Viventium facilities (including Costa Rica) and industry conferences.
