Job description

The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for leading the overall IT strategy, execution, and operations across a global, multi-site manufacturing environment. This role oversees enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems, ensuring technology is scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

As a key member of the leadership team, the VP of IT partners closely with executive stakeholders and business leaders to drive innovation, strengthen operational resiliency, and enable growth. This role also fosters a high-performing, service-oriented IT organization while establishing strong governance, risk management, and compliance practices.

The VP of IT will play a critical role in advancing enterprise technology capabilities, including ERP strategy and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, automation, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the global IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology, cybersecurity, and emerging risks and opportunities
• Oversee all IT operations, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications (ERP), and end-user services
• Ensure reliable, secure, and resilient technology environments across corporate, manufacturing, and distribution locations
• Define and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, and security controls to support compliance and risk management
• Drive ERP and enterprise application strategy, optimization, and integration across the organization
• Identify and implement practical AI and automation use cases to enhance efficiency, forecasting, and decision-making
• Establish guardrails for responsible AI adoption, including data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations
• Lead IT budgeting, procurement, and vendor management across all technology domains
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the execution of IT projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Lead incident response planning and coordination, including post-incident remediation and cross-functional communication
• Partner with Finance and Legal on cyber risk management, insurance strategy, and executive/board-level reporting
• Ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery planning across the enterprise
• Standardize systems, infrastructure, and processes across business units to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Support M&A activity, including technology due diligence, integration, and system migrations
• Stay current on technology trends and emerging risks, advising leadership on innovation and long-term resilience

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including executive-level oversight of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems
• Proven experience leading IT organizations within complex, multi-site manufacturing environments
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong expertise in cloud and on-premise infrastructure, networking, identity management, and cybersecurity best practices
• Experience managing ERP and enterprise application environments (e.g., Infor CSI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage complex projects, and oversee third-party vendors
• Strong background in IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable business strategies
• Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and technology modernization efforts
