Moderna seeks a scientific leader to head Therapeutics Immunology, driving the immunology mRNA portfolio from discovery through preclinical development. You will build T cell receptor capabilities and lead diverse teams across T cell biology, repertoire analysis, and protein engineering to deliver differentiated medicines.

You will shape strategy, engage with AI and platform teams, and represent immunology in senior forums while advancing programs toward the clinic.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in immunology or related discipline.
• 15+ years in biotech/pharma R&D with at least 5 years leading teams.
• internationally recognized T cell biology expertise and TCR biology.
• Record of advancing programs from discovery to preclinical development.
• Ability to build or scale discovery platforms and translate them to programs.
• Strong communication and portfolio decision-making skills.

Responsabilités

• Set and execute the scientific strategy for the mRNA immunology pipeline.
• Oversee internal TCR capabilities and end-to-end discovery engine.
• Lead autoimmune research from ideation to lead generation and preclinical development.
• Collaborate with mRNA, delivery, protein engineering, AI, and computational teams.
• Represent therapeutics immunology in senior cross-functional forums and external partnerships.
• Build, mentor, and retain high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
