Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co. is seeking an experienced Integration Platform Architect to own and evolve the enterprise integration platform within the AI & Data group. You will drive adoption, set standards, and lead end-to-end integration across a multi-cloud/hybrid environment.

Bring 10+ years in integration, expertise in MuleSoft and API-led architectures, and strong security practices. Expect leadership, collaboration across teams, and a focus on scalable, AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in application integration and platform architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency with MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform), iPaaS, Flex Gateway and Agent Fabric.
• Strong expertise in APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building, governing AI Agents, agent orchestration, RAG and autonomous workflows.
• Building cloud-native integration solutions with AWS and/or GCP.
• Security practices for API development and cloud architecture (OAuth, JWT, AWS IAM).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AWS EKS).

Responsibilities

• Define integration platform strategy in alignment with enterprise priorities.
• Govern the integration platform, drive reuse, discoverability, and adoption across the enterprise.
• Lead end-to-end integration design across core and channel systems in a multi-cloud and hybrid ecosystem.
• Ensure solutions align with standards and are delivered as designed.
• Enable decoupled, scalable architectures (API-led, event-driven).
• Enable LLM-driven workflows by exposing APIs as AI-consumable tools; establish guardrails for AI-driven integrations.
• Embed DevOps, CI/CD, AI-led engineering, and automation into integration delivery.
• Mentor teams and drive adoption of integration best practices.

Education

MuleSoft Certification (Integration and/or Platform Architect)

AWS Solutions Architect (Professional preferred)

APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures
