Job summary

MetOx International is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development to lead our scientific strategy for high-temperature superconducting technologies. Based in Houston, TX, you will define the roadmap, challenge assumptions, and translate breakthroughs into commercial products.

You will supervise a multidisciplinary team and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, and executives to advance the HTS platform.

Qualifications

PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related.
15+ years leading technical teams in superconductors/advanced materials.
Proven ability to translate science into scalable manufacturing.
Strong record of patents, publications, and tech commercialization.

Responsibilities

Define and execute MetOx's long-term technology strategy for HTS leadership.
Lead multidisciplinary teams; prioritize research programs with milestones.
Manage technology investments, partnerships, and external collaborations.
Guide development of next-gen MOCVD processes and reactor platforms.
Communicate strategy and progress to executives and stakeholders.
