Job summary

MetOx International, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development to lead our HTS program at the Houston HQ.

You will define the research roadmap, align scientific strategy with commercialization, and guide multidisciplinary teams across materials, chemistry, physics, and engineering to push_next-gen conductor performance. You will partner with executive leadership to invest in breakthrough technologies, manage IP, and accelerate transition from concept to market.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a closely related technical discipline required.
• 15+ years of progressive technical leadership in superconductors or related deposition technologies.
• Deep expertise in epitaxial thin-film growth using MOCVD or related vapor deposition.
• Proven track record translating scientific concepts into commercial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute MetOx's long-term technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead multidisciplinary scientific teams across materials science, physics, chemistry, and engineering.
• Oversee REBCO materials, MOCVD processing, and conductor architectures.
• Drive IP strategy and establish patents to protect innovations.
• Partner with executive leadership on technology investments and commercialization.
