Job summary

William Blair’s GP-Led Secondary Advisory team seeks a high-visibility Vice President to lead day-to-day execution on live GP-led transactions. You will work directly with Managing Directors and Directors on origination, structuring, execution, and syndication, while maintaining client contact throughout the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate across sponsors, investors, counsel, and internal teams, managing multiple workstreams, and coaching Analysts and Associates as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years at Associate level in GP-led secondary advisory or secondary investment role.
• Fluency in private markets valuation and returns analysis with strong modeling foundation.
• Track record running transaction processes and managing multiple client engagements.
• Clear concise written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to sponsors and investors.
• Coaching and leadership instincts; interest in building a team as the platform grows.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% for sponsor/investor meetings and conferences.
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 within 150 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day execution lead on continuation fund and GP-led transactions.
• Own transaction structuring, returns modeling, diligence, and execution strategy.
• Build and manage buyer process, investor targeting, due diligence, and closing support.
• Lead drafting of confidential information presentations and market analyses for clients.
• Develop relationships with sponsors and secondary investors; partner with senior bankers to originate mandates.
• Anticipate and resolve transaction issues across multiple assignments.
