Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Associate to join the Private Capital Advisory & Solutions team, focusing on GP-led secondary transactions. You will work closely with senior bankers and sponsors, supporting origination, modeling, and execution across continuation vehicles and related structures.

The role provides exposure to transaction structuring, valuation, marketing, and end-to-end deal management, with meaningful responsibility and mentorship from senior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
• 3–5 years in investment banking, private capital advisory, private equity, secondary investing, transaction advisory, valuation, or a related field.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
• Organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity, private markets, and secondary transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive the origination and execution of GP‑led secondary transactions, including single‑asset and multi‑asset continuation vehicles
• Own core analytical workstreams and oversee modeling and valuation efforts, including operating models, LBO analyses, and investor return analyses
• Review and refine presentations, pitch books, memoranda, management presentations, and investor materials
• Coordinate and manage workstreams across industry teams, M&A, capital‑markets, legal counsel, tax advisers, accountants, and other participants
• Assist in due‑diligence coordination, data rooms, and management of DD requests
• Support investor outreach and process management, including timelines, bid materials, and communications
• Monitor GP‑led secondary activity, investor appetite, and pricing dynamics to inform client advice
• Maintain internal databases on secondary investors, precedents, and sponsor relationships
• Support senior bankers in client meetings and business development; contribute to meeting prep and follow‑ups
• Coach Analysts on modeling, materials prep, and execution best practices
