Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Associate for the Secondary Advisory team within Private Capital Advisory & Solutions, focusing on GP-led secondary transactions.

You will work with senior bankers and sponsors on liquidity solutions, with exposure to modeling, valuation, and end-to-end execution. You will lead core workstreams, coordinate across functions, and guide junior team members in a collaborative environment with significant responsibility and direct interaction with senior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic record.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private capital advisory, private equity, secondary investing, valuation, or related field.
• Strong quantitative & analytical capabilities with solid understanding of financial statements, accounting, corporate finance, and valuation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity, private markets, and secondary transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive origination and execution of GP-led secondary transactions, including single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicles.
• Own core analytical workstreams and oversee day-to-day modeling and valuation, including operating models, LBOs, investor return analyses, and capitalization models.
• Review and refine presentations, memoranda, investor materials, and internal approval documents.
• Coordinate and manage workstreams across industry coverage teams, M&A, capital markets, legal, tax, accounting, and other participants.
• Assist in due diligence, including virtual data room prep and management of due-diligence requests across clients and advisers.
• Support investor outreach and process management, maintain buyer lists and process trackers, manage timelines.
• Monitor GP-led secondary market activity, investor appetite, fundraising trends, pricing dynamics, and precedent transactions to inform advice
• Maintain and enhance internal databases on secondary investors, precedents, and sponsor relationships
• Support senior bankers in client meetings and business development; assist in meeting prep and follow-up materials
• Coach Analysts on modeling, materials prep, and execution best practices
