Job summary

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management seeks a seasoned professional to lead proxy voting and governance research within its Global Stewardship Team in New York. You will coordinate cross-regional voting positions, engage with investee management on governance, and drive the annual stewardship agenda alongside portfolio managers.

The role requires extensive experience in proxy voting, strong communication, and the ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced asset management environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience executing proxy voting and engagement research within asset management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with portfolio managers and lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern internal working groups; co-chair moderation meetings and prepare materials.
• Coordinate proxy voting approvals across EMEA, Americas, and APAC for global consistency.
• Engage with investee company management on governance and strategy, and develop annual engagement roadmaps.
• Draft and update proxy voting policies; prepare materials for Proxy Voting Council and annual board meetings.
• Lead reporting, data management, and quarterly/biannual stewardship disclosures.
