Job summary

Capital Group seeks a Stewardship Analyst to conduct proxy research, apply voting guidelines, and engage with portfolio companies on stewardship priorities. You will publish governance research and support Investment Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and ESG team members with sector- and industry-specific insights.

You will collaborate with senior Stewardship associates, develop training materials, and share industry findings to strengthen the team’s knowledge base and practices throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Prepare company- and sector-level research and apply proxy voting guidelines with judgment.
• Analyze proxy voting ballots to ensure timely and accurate decisions.
• Elevate issues for senior review and recommend resolutions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Capital Group's proxy voting guidelines and processes.
• Build credibility with the investment group through valued contributions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior Stewardship associates on issuer engagements to deepen understanding.
• Develop training materials to expand the team's knowledge base.
• Share articles and notes from webcasts and industry events with the team.
• Identify trends and integrate competitive knowledge into initiatives and recommendations.
• Maintain thorough records of engagement and voting activity in internal systems.
