Dolby is seeking a Senior Legal Strategist and Head of Litigation to drive global litigation strategy. The role requires leading high-stakes patent and commercial matters, overseeing outside counsel, and partnering with senior leadership to align litigation with Via Licensing Alliance's goals.

Hybrid in San Francisco with in-office presence three days a week. The ideal candidate brings a JD with bar admission, 10+ years of litigation experience, and deep IP/licensing knowledge, plus strong

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in good standing.
• 10+ years of litigation experience, including patent/IP and complex commercial matters.
• Experience leading high-stakes matters and managing outside counsel.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end litigation strategy and execution for complex matters.
• Advise senior leadership on risk, dispute resolution, and licensing enforcement.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets, and reporting to executives.
• Coordinate with internal teams to assess exposure and develop positions.
• Develop practical recommendations for disputes, settlements, or arbitration.
