Job summary

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. in Los Angeles seeks a Vice President of Fund Operations to manage cash, NAV, and reporting for public and private funds. You’ll oversee forecasting, maintain books, and coordinate with auditors, tax, and fund admins to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

The role requires 13–15 years accounting/audit experience, familiarity with Geneva systems, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. A Bachelor's degree is required; CPA or equivalent designation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; CPA or equivalent designation is a plus.
• 13–15 years in accounting or audit, with Big Four or investment management experience.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation, account analysis and investment company accounting rules.

Responsibilities

• Cash management, forecasting, NAV and subscription-line oversight and reporting.
• Daily NAV oversight for public funds and related controls for Sarbanes–Oxley compliance.
• Coordinate quarterly reporting with corporate finance, tax, and fund operations.
• Prepare and review complex fee and waterfall calculations across funds.
• Record and reconcile cash, investments and balance sheet accounts; post accruals.
• Prepare allocations of income/expense and distributions per governing documents.
• Ensure coordination with auditors, custodians, prime brokers and fund administrators.
• Analyze performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and support audits.
