Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Field Examination Lead for the Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Field Examination team.

The role focuses on rigorous collateral and credit risk assessments, collaborating with senior credit leaders, and delivering actionable insights to support safe, sound growth. Responsibilities include owning the full exam lifecycle, leading multi-region engagements, and presenting findings to credit committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in ABL field examination, collateral audit, public accounting, or credit risk with heavy ABL exposure.
• Experience with international ABL exams for multi-entity borrowers with EMEA/APAC operations.
• Deep knowledge of A/R and inventory collateral, eligibility rules, ineligibles and reserves, and borrowing base structures.
• Ability to interface with senior client executives and internal stakeholders; distill complex findings into clear recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; proficiency with ERP reporting and reconciliations; strong written communication.
• Project/team leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
• Inclusive leadership across regions and groups.

Responsibilities

• Own the full exam lifecycle for assigned transactions: scope and test plan design, staffing and budgeting, fieldwork execution oversight, issue escalation, quality assurance, and final report issuance.
• Apply a risk-based approach to determine exam frequency, depth, and procedures by borrower risk profile, collateral complexity, and portfolio priorities.
• Lead engagements spanning various facility sizes and geographies (US, Canada, Europe, EMEA, APAC) with international portfolio.
• Lead engagement kickoffs and closings with CFO/Controller/Operations leadership; manage expectations, timelines, and data requirements.
• Approve final borrowing base testing coverage for AR, inventory, and payables; review and sign off on deliverables.
• Direct teams analyzing receivables, inventory, payables, and historical performance to validate collateral quality and trends.
• Present key findings and recommendations to credit committees and deal teams; support negotiations on borrowing bases and covenants.
• Lead and mentor Associates/Analysts and Senior Examiners; provide coaching and performance reviews.
