Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Vice President, Data Scientist Lead for the Global Services Insights & Analytics team.

You will guide data-driven initiatives to enhance planning, efficiency, service, and controls within Commercial Banking. Expect to design and deploy large language model-powered solutions across high-impact use cases using Bedrock and Cortex, with emphasis on evaluation, governance, and scalable production ML.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of applied ML/NLP experience including production deployment.
• Experience with NLP and large language models, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Hands-on experience with Bedrock or equivalent LLM platform.
• Experience with Cortex or related workflows in enterprise settings.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML frameworks and tooling.
• Experience building APIs and integrating LLM/LLM solutions.
• Experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Develop generative AI and LLM solutions for content extraction, semantic search, QA, summarization, reasoning, and recommendations.
• Design and manage prompt-based and retrieval-augmented systems with orchestration and multi-step reasoning.
• Build evaluation frameworks for accuracy, robustness, latency, and cost including safety checks.
• Prototype and productionize LLM apps using Bedrock and other platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver scalable services and pipelines with strong software discipline.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote responsible AI practices.
