Job summary

Slate in the USA is seeking a Distinguished Engineer of Generative AI to be the founding technical authority for AI. You will envision, design, and ship the GenAI platform for Slate.Auto, write code, and set long-term architectural direction across product lines and manufacturing sites.

You will build industry-leading AI systems, embed AI on the factory floor, lead a lean team of GenAI engineers, and establish standards while delivering production-grade, auditable agentic systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years shipping production GenAI systems.
• Experience leading technical teams and setting engineering standards.
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and production-grade AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end GenAI platform across product lines and manufacturing sites.
• Build industry-leading AI systems for physical manufacturing and factory-floor integration.
• Lead deployment of agentic systems across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and software.
• Establish engineering standards, guardrails, and observability for production AI.
• Hands-on coding and architecture decisions; recruit and mentor a lean GenAI team.
