Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking an engineer to build AI/ML features across the model lifecycle—data prep, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. You will work on GenAI systems, RAG pipelines, and prompts to improve reliability and integration with real manufacturing and supply chain data.

You will also design data pipelines and evaluation frameworks, collaborating with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations to ship measurable AI capabilities for our USA-built trucks.

Qualifications

• Candidate demonstrates end-to-end ML projects from data prep to deployment.
• Strong foundation in ML theory, evaluation, and production readiness.
• Familiarity with GenAI, RAG, embeddings, and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI/ML features across the model lifecycle from data to deployment.
• Contribute to GenAI systems, RAG pipelines, and prompts for reliability.
• Create data and evaluation infrastructure for production use.
• Tackle manufacturing, supply chain and physical-operations AI problems.
