Pacific Life seeks a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the Consumer Markets Division's financial strategy and decision support. This senior leader partners with CMD executives and drives forecasting, performance management, and enterprise initiatives in a matrixed environment.

The role requires 12+ years of leadership in finance or related disciplines, with strong communication, executive presence, and a track record of developing high‑performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, actuarial, strategic planning, or related business disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives to influence strategy and major business decisions.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic analysis.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience operating effectively within complex, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to CMD executives on performance, growth opportunities, and financial implications.
• Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for executive decisions.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities, investments, and initiatives impacting long‑term growth.
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute plans aligned with objectives.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and analysis across business areas.
• Drive disciplined decision‑making through rigorous analysis and scenario planning.
• Monitor performance and provide insights to improve profitability and resource allocation.
• Support capital management, financial stewardship, and risk‑adjusted decisions.
• Ensure alignment between financial objectives and business strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Distribution, Inforce Management, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Corporate Finance.
