Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the Consumer Markets Division. This hybrid role, based in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC, partners with CMD executives to translate financial results into business strategy and drive profitable growth.

You will oversee planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision-support across Product, Distribution, Inforce Management, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, and Technology,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, actuarial, strategic planning, or related business disciplines
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives to influence strategy and major business decisions
• Strong financial acumen with experience in planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic analysis
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience operating effectively within complex, matrixed organizations

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and business analysis activities across assigned business areas
• Drive disciplined financial decision-making through rigorous analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Monitor business performance and provide insights that improve profitability, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness
• Support capital management, financial stewardship, and risk-adjusted decision-making
• Ensure alignment between financial objectives and business strategy
• Collaborate closely with leaders across Product Development, Distribution, Inforce Management, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Corporate Finance
• Influence decisions across the end-to-end business value chain
• Foster alignment among stakeholders while balancing customer, operational, financial, and strategic considerations
• Lead and support enterprise initiatives that drive long-term value creation
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals
• Create an environment that fosters accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and strategic workforce management
• Develop future leaders and strengthen the overall finance organization
