Job summary

AvidXchange is seeking a visionary VP of FP&A to shape financial strategy and drive decision-making at a leading fintech company. You will head budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and the Board.

You will build and guide a high‑performing FP&A team, modernize planning tools, and partner across functions to optimize revenue growth, profitability, and capital allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of progressive FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Prepare and present financial materials, forecasts, and performance narratives for Executives and Board.
• Lead financial modeling and business case analysis for growth, ops improvements, and capital allocation.
• Collaborate with FP&A teams and business leaders to communicate trends and forecast performance.
• Partner with executives to improve financial performance through revenue growth, profitability, and capital planning.
• Lead FP&A team through AI transformation to create efficiency and insights.
• Modernize FP&A processes, data infrastructure, planning tools, and BI capabilities.
• Drive forecasting accuracy, data quality, and operational excellence across FP&A.
• Lead, coach, and develop the FP&A organization and culture of accountability.
• Support preparation for future sale of the business.
