Job summary

Citi Japan is seeking a Vice President, Customer Service Manager to lead the customer service team within Fixed Income Settlements Operations. You will own day-to-day performance, manage client escalations, and drive improvements in foreign securities settlement post-trade processes.

You will work cross-functionally with trading desks and global stakeholders, applying AI tools to enhance efficiency, while maintaining strong regulatory controls and staff development in a high-visibility

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of securities operations or post-trade experience.
• Experience leading a client-facing operations team.
• Familiarity with cash securities and accounting principles.
• Fluency in Japanese and business English.
• JSDA Class 1 certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Japan institutional clients customer service team for foreign bond settlement and post-trade processing.
• Own client escalations end-to-end with thorough investigation and timely resolutions.
• Conduct service quality reviews with clients to assess performance and identify gaps.
• Manage daily post-settlement delivery across foreign securities with consistent output quality.
• Develop procedures to improve settlement processes and generate cost efficiencies.
• Identify and apply AI tools to streamline client query handling and reduce manual effort.
• Coach and develop team members and maintain clear performance expectations.
• Monitor regulatory and operational risk with transparent escalation and reporting.
