Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead the OTC Derivatives Settlements team in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on overseeing the settlement lifecycle for interest rate, credit, FX, and equity derivatives, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and risk controls.

You will partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk and Technology to drive process improvements, automation, and scalable settlements, while mentoring junior staff and guiding strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OTC derivatives settlements or related middle office role.
• Strong understanding of OTC products and lifecycle events.
• Experience with trade processing platforms and market infrastructures.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily settlement processing for various OTC derivatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate cash flows and lifecycle events.
• Monitor and resolve settlement breaks and discrepancies with counterparties.
• Maintain risk and control framework in line with EMIR and Dodd-Frank.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and Straight Through Processing.
• Mentor junior team members and partner with Technology and Change teams.
• Support new product onboarding and regulatory changes.
