Job summary

WSP USA seeks a senior engineering leader for Fire & Life Safety in Orlando, FL, with responsibility for directing a team of fire protection engineers and delivering compliant, state-of-the-art life safety solutions.

The role requires a PE license and 15+ years in the field, with strong leadership and deep knowledge of IBC/NFPA/UFC. Occasional travel and cross-office collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• PE license required (or timely ability to acquire); CFPS, PMP are advantageous.
• 15+ years in the industry, last 5 as a leader or staff manager.
• Strong leadership and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of Building and Fire Codes, Standards, and Regulations (IBC, NFPA, UFC, OBO).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for fire protection and life safety systems design.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and regulations.
• Drive design methodologies and evaluate new technologies.
• Support business development and client engagement in safety projects.
