Job summary

The Western Union Company in Atlanta (hybrid) seeks a strategic Vice President to lead the Financial & Regulatory Reporting, Consolidations & Governance functions. You will oversee SEC reporting, monthly close, consolidations, and governance processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency for stakeholders and auditors.

Ideal candidates possess CPA, 10+ years of SEC reporting, and leadership in global operations, with strong GAAP and SOX knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Bachelor's in Accounting; Master of Accountancy preferred.
• 10+ years of SEC reporting and technical accounting experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting and reporting teams.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Experience with multinational operations, including foreign currency accounting and consolidations, is a must.
• Familiarity with IFRS and international statutory reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, Proxy Statements).
• Oversee monthly close, consolidations, foreign currency translation, and regulatory reporting.
• Direct external audits, SOX certifications, and Audit Committee materials.
• Lead technical accounting research and policy development.
