Job summary

Moody's Corporation is seeking a senior data strategy leader to drive Finance data products and the strategic roadmap for Finance. You will work with engineering, analytics, and automation teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, from problem framing to deployment.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping with SQL/Python and AI-enabled tools, while collaborating with Finance leadership to align initiatives with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering finance, data, and technology solutions across key financial domains in a SOX environment.
• Exposure to enterprise Finance and data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Salesforce, SAP, AWS).
• Excellent executive communication and people leadership to lead a small data strategy team.
• SQL and Python proficiency to support data analysis, validation, and prototyping.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to rapidly prototype and build-ready specs.
• Proven experience applying AI-powered solutions to improve workflows and mitigate AI risk.
• ERP order-to-cash experience preferred, with SAP strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Drives Finance data strategy by bridging leadership and delivery teams to produce high-impact data products and roadmap outcomes.
• Owns and communicates the strategic data roadmap for Finance, sequencing priorities and aligning stakeholder outcomes.
• Lead design from problem to engineering-ready specs, write BRDs/FDDs, propose data models, ensure QA and validation.
• Prototype solutions with SQL, Python, and AI-assisted tools while applying deep finance domain knowledge.
• Act as data strategy lead on Finance's strategic programs, building a team of data strategists and analysts.
