Job summary

Moody's is transforming Finance by turning data into strategic value. We are seeking a Vice President, Finance Transformation & Data Strategy to lead the design and delivery of Finance data products, roadmaps, and AI-enabled solutions across the organization.

You will partner with senior Finance leadership, engineering, and analytics to define success, prototype quickly with SQL/Python, and coach a small team of data strategists toward measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Data Analytics, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Extensive experience delivering finance data/tech solutions within a SOX environment.
• Proven experience translating business needs into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive Finance data strategy by partnering with leadership and delivery teams to produce high-impact data products and roadmaps.
• Own and evolve the strategic data roadmap for Finance, aligning priorities with stakeholder outcomes.
• Lead solution design from problem to engineering-ready specs, including BRDs and FDDs.
• Prototype rapidly using SQL, Python, and AI-assisted tools, while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Lead a small team of data strategists and business analysts across Finance.
