Job summary

OERTZENGroup in Rhode Island seeks a Vice President Finance to lead all finance functions, including accounting, tax, compliance, audit, analytics, treasury, and contract review. You will provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading multi-functional finance organizations.
• Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, distribution, or related industry experience preferred.
• Experience supporting high-growth and globally connected organizations preferred.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership and business partnership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the President & CEO and Leadership Team.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term objectives.
• Evaluate opportunities, capital allocation decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Technology to drive performance.
• Deliver timely financial reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights.
• Conduct profitability, pricing, margin, cost, inventory, and ROI analyses.
• Support long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and liquidity planning.
• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, contract review, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and governance practices.
• Oversee treasury and banking relationships.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Lead BI, ERP, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives to improve decisions.
• Establish scalable reporting, data governance, and data integrity practices.
• Drive process improvements to reduce manual effort.
• Develop cost accounting capabilities and lead reviews with leaders.
• Support pricing strategies, inventory optimization, and capital investments.
• Promote financial literacy and accountability across the organization.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
• Set goals, accountability, succession plans, and development opportunities.
• Foster collaboration, integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
