Job summary

Humane Colorado in Denver is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Administration to lead financial strategy, capital planning, risk management, and compliance. You will supervise finance and facilities teams and partner with the Board to advance our mission.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 7+ years of senior financial management, 5+ years of leadership, and nonprofit experience is a plus. Salary range $160,000 to $180,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 7+ years of senior financial management experience including capital planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• 5+ years of direct leadership over teams of three or more employees.
• Nonprofit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee accounting and financial policies and procedures.
• Direct and monitor the financial position with fiscal controls and integrity of resources.
• Oversee compliance with GAAP and non-profit financial reporting.
• Lead capital planning and investment strategy; manage risk.
