Job summary

Results for America is seeking a Vice President and Federal Practice Lead to drive strategic outcomes across federal policy, budgeting, and grantmaking. You will lead the Federal Practice, oversee cross-unit collaboration, and work with senior stakeholders to shift dollars toward what works and build evidence capacity.

The role is full-time, exempt, based in a home office anywhere in the U.S. with 30% travel; Eastern seaboard preferred. You’ll report to the SVP/CPO and oversee a growing team.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 6 years of work experience within Federal government; policy/budget/procurement exp preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience directly supervising multiple full-time staff.
• Understanding of Federal funding levers, outcomes-focused budgeting, grants, or procurement.
• Experience cultivating funders and meeting fundraising targets.
• Tech stack: Google Suite; Slack, Salesforce, Asana; ChatGPT, Gemini & Claude.

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee, and be accountable for effective delivery of shifting dollars TA for Federal leaders.
• Lead and accelerate progress toward goals with Federal agencies and Congress.
• Coordinate with State and Local Practice leads to ensure aligned service delivery.
• Lead internal and external stakeholders in scaling programs and building evidence/data capacity.
• Oversee enterprise collaboration and planning to support the Scale strategic plan.
• Manage fundraising goals, proposals, and funder relations.
