Job summary

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in enterprise production database environments, incl. Oracle and SQL Server.
• Leadership or people-management experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server releases and features.
• Experience building and executing database strategy with modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own database strategy for Oracle and SQL Server; translate direction into roadmaps and standards.
• Lead internal DBAs and contracted resources; set priorities and development plans.
• Provide operational leadership for production and non-production environments, including patching and upgrades.
• Enforce architecture, change, release, and documentation standards across platforms.
• Maintain inventory of database estates, licensing, and recovery objectives.
• Oversee security controls, auditing, and evidence retention with security teams.
• Ensure changes follow change-management and testing requirements.
