Job summary

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President to lead AI safety platform engineering in New York. You will architect and drive enterprise safety initiatives, building a unified evaluation framework, real-time guardrails, and governance integrations across the core AI platform.

As the senior technical authority, you will mentor engineering teams, partner with risk control and business units, and align safety metrics with regulatory expectations to ensure safe, verifiable deployments.

Qualifications

• Role Level: VP or equivalent senior leadership in financial services or large-scale enterprise software.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Leadership: 4+ years leading ML or software teams in platform infra or microservices.
• Software depth: 8+ years in building microservices, APIs, or enterprise platforms.
• AI & agentic: Fluency with LLMs, tool integration, and agentic execution paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Unified Agentic Evaluation Framework across the company to benchmark and test AI agent performance pre-production.
• Develop real-time LLM guardrail services and policy gateways to prevent leakage and policy violations.
• Collaborate with core AI Platform, risk control, and business units to enhance telemetry, execution logging, and governance controls.
• Mentor engineering teams and own the technical roadmap for safety infrastructure and governance automation.
