Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Americas is seeking a Vice President – AI Engineer to join the Risk Engineering – Market Risk team. You will work with a team of engineers to drive adoption of AI platforms and tools, delivering risk metric calculations and AI-driven insights.

The role requires 9+ years of production experience, deep Python, SQL, and ML libraries, and the ability to deploy scalable AI pipelines in distributed/cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional experience as an engineer in a production environment.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and workflow tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and handling large structured datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and ML/AI libraries (e.g., PyTorch) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build internal and external reporting for risk metric calculation using SQL and Tableau.
• Develop front-end UI for risk management actions using web technologies (ReactJS).
• Develop calculations using Snowflake, Sybase IQ and distributed HDFS systems.
• Design and support batch processes for calculations and data distribution to other systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy ML/AI models to support market risk metrics, stress scenarios, and forecasting.
• Build end-to-end AI pipelines: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with risk managers to translate regulatory and business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Optimize agents' performance, scalability, and reliability in distributed and cloud environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions.
