Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a VP of Engineering to lead delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of our cloud-based SaaS platform serving municipalities and public sector organizations across North America.

Reporting to the CTO, this role oversees Software Engineering, QA, and Systems Administration, guiding AI-enabled development, automation, and operational excellence while aligning with product strategy and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering, technology operations, or software delivery leadership, incl. 5+ years managing managers or leads.
Experience scaling a multidisciplinary engineering organization in a growth phase.
Experience adopting AI-enabled software development practices and measuring results.
Experience budgeting, vendor relations, and technology investments.
Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in engineering ops.

Responsibilities

Lead Software Engineering, QA/Quality Engineering, and Systems Administration/Infrastructure.
Oversee design, delivery, quality, reliability, and operation of cloud-based SaaS platform.
Translate product and business priorities into engineering plans with clear accountability.
Develop and lead AI-enabled engineering strategy and governance throughout SDLC.
Drive AI adoption, automation, and CI/CD practices across engineering and operations.
