Job summary

Selby Jennings partners with a boutique investment bank to recruit a Vice President for its Energy Transition team in Austin, TX. This role offers end-to-end deal leadership, direct exposure to senior leadership, and meaningful ownership from day one.

You're expected to drive M&A and project financing within solar, storage, and distributed generation, build advanced financial models, and guide clients through complex transactions as the team expands in a lean platform.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of investment banking and/or project finance experience
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities
• Renewable energy, energy transition, or project finance experience strongly preferred
• VP‑level professional seeking increased responsibility and a clear path toward senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead M&A and project finance transactions from origination through execution
• Build and oversee complex financial models, including tax credit and structured finance analyses
• Manage transaction processes independently and serve as a key point of contact for clients
• Advise developers, investors, and operators across solar, storage, and distributed energy sectors
