Job summary

Bellwether seeks a Vice President to lead the Debt Team, mentoring junior analysts, guiding client communications, and developing asset management processes.

The role focuses on structured mortgage products, asset management of real estate debt, and collaboration with portfolio managers, underwriting teams and legal counsel to optimize performance and reporting for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years relevant experience in acquisitions or asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team managing structured mortgage products and debt assets.
• Mentor and advise asset management team and consult with portfolio management and underwriting teams.
• Liaison with borrowers, consultants, counsel and senior client professionals regarding debt asset management.
• Develop and implement process improvements.
• Review and improve production of investment- and portfolio-level reports.
• Interpret loan documents to confirm terms and covenants are satisfied.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on transactions and documentation.
• Leverage experience to improve client reports and team performance.
• Oversee staff selection, interviewing and training as needed; manage day-to-day workload and performance.
