Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Data, Technology and IP Attorney to join its Legal team in New York. You will handle technology-driven client engagements, draft and review complex contracts, and supervise outside counsel while collaborating with Sales, Partnerships, Technology, Product and Compliance.

You will lead AI governance initiatives, test generative tools, assess outputs for bias and IP risk, and support strategic corporate development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house in tech/finance or related industry.
• Licensed to practice in NY or another state.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Willingness to learn new topics and operate in a changing business environment.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Organized and detail-oriented with big-picture thinking.
• Practical understanding of machine learning architectures, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review complex, technology-driven client engagement agreements.
• Develop and implement standard client form documentation and leverage contract lifecycle management solutions.
• Take a leadership role in AI governance, test generative tools, build legal prompt frameworks, and assess outputs for bias, security, and IP risk.
• Draft and review general corporate agreements related to HR, finance, marketing, real estate, facilities, and alternative investments.
• Draft and review various contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assist with legal aspects of strategic corporate development initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc research projects.
