Job summary

Eaton is seeking a VP of Engineering for its Global Data Center Group, reporting to the Group President and CTO. You will provide strategic technical leadership across data center products, drive roadmaps, and ensure IP excellence in a global, matrixed environment.

You will lead customer requirements intake, end-to-end validation, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders to optimize resourcing and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years’ experience in professional engineering roles with 7+ years of direct people leadership.
• Experience in a highly matrix global organization in similar scope/scale role.
• Significant experience in electrical components/systems design, new product development, and program management.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure including cooling, power, distribution, monitoring and redundancy.
• Executive level communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Group President and Senior Leadership Team to establish and execute business and functional goals.
• Establish an integrated technology plan and roadmap across data center products lines.
• Lead customer requirements intake and translation into product and system requirements and validation criteria.
• Develop end-to-end system validation for data center solutions including test strategies and deployment at scale.
• Drive alignment with product management and engineering on prioritization, scope and resources.
