Job summary

Eaton is seeking a VP of Engineering in Beachwood, OH, to provide senior technical leadership across the data center portfolio. You will shape strategy, align product plans with customer needs, and drive end-to-end validation for complex hardware, software, and services.

This is a high-visibility role requiring global collaboration and executive communication. You will mentor leaders, influence cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory and IP governance while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of professional engineering experience with 7+ years of leadership.
• Experience in a global matrix organization at scale.
• Strong background in electrical components/systems design and NPD.
• Proficiency with data center infrastructure, cooling and power systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel about 25% internationally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to the engineering organization.
• Lead development and execution of product/solutions strategy for data centers.
• Establish an integrated technology plan and roadmap across data center product lines.
• Oversee end-to-end system validation including hardware, software, and services.
• Drive governance and prioritization with product management and line engineering.
• Build a high-performance workforce and mentor future leaders.
