Job summary

Orr Search is partnering with an established private equity firm in Florida to hire an Applied AI Engineer for its Data & AI team. You’ll work on internal AI initiatives and add value across portfolio companies, with hands-on ownership from day one.

The role centers on building and deploying AI products end to end, owning data, models, applications and deployment, and collaborating with investment and operating teams to scope high-impact AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience required in AI/engineering roles.
• Strong data foundation; build and manage reliable data pipelines.
• Experience with AI models (LLMs, RAG, agents) and production-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI and agentic products for internal teams and portfolio companies.
• Own the architecture end to end: data, models, application and deployment.
• Partner with investment and operating teams to identify high-impact AI use cases.
• Take solutions from idea to production and drive measurable business results.
