Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8–12+ years of legal experience focused on cybersecurity, data security, privacy, or incident response.
• Experience in financial services with broker-dealer or investment advisory exposure.
• Experience advising on cyber incident response, regulatory notifications, and supervisory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Advise on cybersecurity incident obligations, materiality assessments, regulatory notifications, and client/advisor communications.
• Serve as the primary legal advisor for incident response with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor evolving cybersecurity regulations and assess impact on operations.
• Support crisis management and regulatory engagement during high-priority events.
• Draft and update cybersecurity and incident response policies, standards, and playbooks.
• Contribute to cyber tabletop exercises, readiness assessments, and governance.
• Advise on cybersecurity requirements for third‑party providers and vendor oversight.
• Collaborate with Information Security on controls, IAM, and governance frameworks.
• Support regulatory examinations and remediation efforts related to cybersecurity.
• Educate stakeholders on cybersecurity legal risks and best practices.
