Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel for Technology & Enterprise Services. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will shape the legal strategy for enterprise tech, data, privacy, and AI-related initiatives while partnering with senior leaders across the firm.

You'll lead a team of attorneys and external counsel, advise on technology transactions, cybersecurity, and intellectual property, and help drive regulatory compliance, risk

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years of legal experience, including significant leadership experience in a large public company, financial services organization, major technology company, or nationally recognized law firm.
• Deep expertise spanning multiple areas including technology transactions, privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and commercial contracting.
• Demonstrated success advising senior executives and boards on complex, high‑impact legal and business matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy, risk management, and support for enterprise functions enabling growth and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee privacy and cybersecurity issues and coordinate with front office and control partners.
• Develop and execute legal strategy for technology transformation, digital innovation, and enterprise risk management.
• Advise on AI-related intellectual property issues and competitive positioning.
• Provide legal counsel on enterprise technology initiatives, cloud services, data licensing, and emerging technologies.
• Support strategic technology partnerships and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Lead cybersecurity governance, incident response, and regulatory reporting.
• Guide data privacy strategy, cross-border transfers, and data governance.
