Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a VP Underwriter for the Cyber division, a leadership role that defines underwriting strategy and drives profitable portfolio growth.

The position reports to the EVP Underwriting, Cyber and requires oversight of a team across crisis and reputational risk classes. The role emphasizes relationship-building with brokers and clients at the executive level, along with managing budgets and ensuring attainment of premium income and hit ratios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field.
• 8–12 years underwriting experience.
• CPCU, AU or similar designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Travel up to 25%+ for client meetings, conferences, or industry events.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small to mid-sized underwriting team and manage performance.
• Define team goals aligned to division targets and drive execution.
• Review referrals from team members and ensure pricing discipline.
• Curate a portfolio following underwriting guidelines and tools.
• Own division projects outside core area to broaden organizational exposure.
• Build relationships with capacity providers and key producers.
