Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a VP Underwriting Cyber to lead a cyber underwriting team, shape underwriting strategy, and drive profitable growth. The role focuses on nuanced risk evaluation, client and broker relationships at the executive level, and collaboration with capacity providers.

The candidate will guide product innovation, manage team performance, and deliver premium income targets across diversified markets while traveling up to 50% for client engagement.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of underwriting experience
• In-depth understanding of technical underwriting principles
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to manage and build broker/client relationships
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Lead a small to mid-sized team; oversee performance evaluations and hiring decisions
• Define and drive team production goals aligned to division targets
• Review referrals and ensure compliance with UW guidelines
• Curate a portfolio of business and contribute to underwriting guidelines
• Manage budgets and staffing for the team as applicable
• Build relationships with capacity providers and brokers
• Serve as SME for the business to peers and leadership
• Execute annual new and renewal business goals with targets for premium, quotes, and retention
