Job summary

Harbor Group is seeking a Vice President, Investment Accounting, Credit Funds Controller to lead accounting, reporting, and fund administration for our credit fund platform. You will mentor a specialized team, partner with CAO/CIO, and drive automation and AI adoption to streamline close and reporting while ensuring GAAP compliance and investor communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with GAAP knowledge.
• Experience interfacing with institutional investors and managing teams.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with AI tools and data platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for credit fund accounting and reporting.
• Oversee month-end/quarter-end close and fund-level financial statements.
• Manage relationships with third-party fund administrator and auditors.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve close and reporting efficiency.
• Partner with CAO/CIO and investor relations on performance analyses.
• Mentor accounting team and develop talent for long-term succession.
