Job summary

Torchlight, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s advanced production and innovation unit, seeks a visionary executive to lead creative technology and VFX strategy. You will partner with filmmakers, directors, and studio leaders to prototype and deploy next‑gen tools—from AI to virtual production—while preserving artistic integrity.

Reporting to senior creative leadership, you will drive production innovation and build industry‑leading workflows that push the boundaries of cinematic storytelling.

Qualifications

• 25+ years in visual effects, animation or digital production
• 10+ years as VFX supervisor or on-set supervisor on major features
• Strong leadership across production models and pipelines
• Proven ability to translate vision into scalable production methods

Responsibilities

• Define Torchlight's long-term creative technology vision with creative executives
• Lead collaborations with filmmakers and studio teams to adopt emerging tech
• Develop innovative visual approaches to elevate storytelling
• Advise on production strategy and technology adoption
