Saul Centers, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Controller to lead the accounting function, overseeing financial statements, SEC reporting, and internal controls. The role requires deep accounting expertise, strong leadership, and coordination with management for accurate, timely reporting.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, enhance processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support financial planning and analysis for a growing real estate portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant accounting experience.
• 5 years of public accounting experience.
• 5 years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, train and develop the accounting staff.
• Provide accounting support to management and billing support for tenants.
• Analyze monthly property operating statements and explain variances.
• Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual reports comply with US GAAP.
• Review cash flow forecasts for management reporting.
• Drive process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Stay current on US GAAP changes and assess impact.
• Review accounts receivable and reserve for doubtful accounts.
