The role oversees accounting staff, provides management with accounting support, analyzes property operating statements, and explains variances while driving process improvements for accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant accounting experience.
• 5 years of public accounting experience.
• 5 years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• CPA certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, train and develop the accounting staff
• Provide accounting support to the management team and billing support for tenants
• Analyze monthly property operating statements and explain variances
• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports follow US GAAP
• Review monthly cash flow forecasts for management reporting
• Improve processes through automation and efficient procedures
• Stay current on changes in US GAAP and assess impact
• Review accounts receivable and assess provision for doubtful accounts
